Public Tours

Our Garden is opened to the public and dedicated to public education. To enhance the enjoyment of our visitors and to minimize the human impact on the forest, the number of visitors permitted entry each day will be limited. Several choices of naturalist-guided visits are available. They differ in length and terrain and can be tailored to visitors with different physical needs. Please contact us for assistance if wheel chairs are required.

A leisure walk is approximately 3 hours, through dense forest and undulating terrain. In addition to the informative discourse with our naturalist guides along the way, the visitors will have ample chance to hear the sounds of the forest, to observe the fauna and flora, and to experience the serenity of the place.

Admissions

$60.00 for foreign visitors; $25.00 for Costa Ricans. We accept VISA, MasterCard or checks made to Nectandra S.A., in dollars or in colones. The entrance fee includes the guided tour and a short lecture program. Discounts are available to education groups by arrangements.

Reservation is required, with a 50% deposit, refundable if we receive one week notification prior to the scheduled visit.

The Garden is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 7 AM through 5 PM.
